IPI Consulting Network Portugal participates in the RETS project launch conference
On February 3, it was launched the Regional Initiative Project "RETS: Renewable Energies Transfer System", financed by the INTERREG IV C programme, at the Sertã Municipal Auditorium (Casa da Cultura).
The main objective of RETS is to improve the knowledge and competencies of local and regional policymakers (decision makers, civil servants …) in renewable energies, so as to facilitate the deployment of coherent and value added strategic renewable energies policies.
The event had as the main speakers, the Portuguese Secretary of State for Energy and Innovation, Carlos Zorrinho, the Civil Governor of the District of Castelo Branco, Alzira Serrasqueiro, as well as, representatives from the twelve project partners from nine different EU member states (France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, UK, the Netherlands, Romania, and Slovenia).
Throughout the launch conference, case studies and best practices were shown by the speakers and the most innovative European strategies in renewable energies were discussed.
Following the conference, the project partners gathered in internal meetings and workshops to set-up and to plan the project activities for the current year, as well as, to sign the cooperation protocol.
IPI Consulting Network Portugal played an active role in the planning of the conference, working with Municipality of Sertã, and advised the Municipality of Pinhel in what concerns its conference presentation.
In addition, IPI Consulting Network Portugal will be advising the above municipalities, the Portuguese project partners during the project’s duration.
