IPI Consulting Network Portugal partners with Catholic University of Portugal in the evaluation study of EURES Portugal Triennial Activities (2007/2010)
The evaluation study of EURES Portugal, mid 2007 to mid 2010, concluded last week, and commissioned by the IEFP, I.P. - The Portuguese Public Employment Service was awarded to the CEPCEP, a research unit of Catholic University of Portugal, who subcontracted IPI’s services concerning the assessment of EURES Portugal procedures and to weigh up its information and communication activities, after a successful submission.
EURES Portugal is integrated in the European Employment Services network, aimed at facilitating workers mobility at the transnational and cross border levels, within the framework of the European Economic Area (and Switzerland) - an intervention area presently integrating 31 countries.
EURES Portugal provides information, counseling and support to recruitment/placement services, by promoting the contact between jobseekers and employers interested in recruiting abroad.
The methodology involved an analysis of EURES Portugal documents, a qualitative study with EURES Portugal staff, a questionnaire with the EURES Portugal stakeholders, employers and national job seekers.
This evaluation looked at the implementation of the EURES Portugal activity plan 2007-2010, quality and functioning of EURES Portugal, its impact with the working populations and with employers, as well as, an analysis of secondary data.
